All Skywalk guests are asked to place personal items, including cameras, in free lockers outside the Skywalk. This procedure was instituted to protect the glass from scratches and prevent items from being dropped into the Grand Canyon. Your cooperation is most appreciated. Skywalk guides are available to capture your experience in pictures and answer your questions. There is no obligation to purchase photos, but if you’d like to buy them, photos are $30 each or you can purchase a USB with multiple photos and receive several printouts for $107 (including tax). Cameras are encouraged in other areas of Grand Canyon West and can be stored in our free lockers.
Is the Skywalk wheelchair accessible?
The Skywalk is wheelchair accessible and we welcome visitors with service animals. Typically, customers with disabled parking permits can bypass the Grand Canyon West shuttle and drive themselves to the Skywalk and other points of interest within Grand Canyon West. Can I bring my service animal on the Skywalk?
Yes, the Skywalk welcomes service animals.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not permitted on tours or allowed to be left in parked cars. Please contact Grand Canyon West about pet accommodations at www.hualapaitourism.com or 888-868-9378.
Do you allow infants and children on the Skywalk?
Yes, and we offer a 25% discount for children ages 3 to 11 years old. Children ages 2 and younger are free.
Do you offer discounts?
While we do offer group rates for student groups, we do not offer group rates for adult groups.
Do I have to pay for entrance to Grand Canyon West?
The Skywalk is located within Grand Canyon West, an attraction separately owned by the Hualapai Nation. Skywalk visitors must purchase tickets from the Hualapai Nation to enter Grand Canyon West. If I have a National Park Visitors pass, will it work at Grand Canyon West?
No. The Skywalk is on Hualapai Tribal land and is not affiliated with the National Park system.

October – March: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time
April – September: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time

The Skywalk is open every day of the year, including all major holidays.
How long are the lines?
Our peak hours are weekdays between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. To avoid lines, especially in the summer months, please arrive before 10:00 AM or after 3:00 PM.
How long does it take to visit the Skywalk and Grand Canyon West?
We recommend 3 – 4 hours to fully appreciate the Skywalk and Grand Canyon West.
How much time will I be allowed on the Skywalk?
There is no set time limit for enjoying the Skywalk.
Can I drive my rental car/motorcycle/RV to the Skywalk?
It is your choice if you want to drive your vehicle to the Skywalk. The dirt road to the Skywalk is graded frequently, but if you would feel more comfortable taking a shuttle from Meadview, about an hour from the Skywalk, you can contact Grand Canyon West Express, which operates the shuttle, at 702-260-6506.
What about that dirt road?
Diamond Bar Road is currently being improved. You can expect about 9 miles of non-paved, graded, dusty, but passable road. If you choose not to drive this portion of the road, you can drive the majority of the trip and then take a Park and Ride shuttle available for $15.00 per person round trip. This does require advance reservations as they do sell out. If you choose to take the shuttle, contact Grand Canyon West Express, which operates the shuttle, directly at 702-260-6506.
Where do I park?
All guests are required to park at the Grand Canyon West Airport. Parking is included in the cost of your Legacy Pass. Guests are not permitted to drive to any of the points of interest in their own vehicle unless they have a disabled parking permit.

What city should I fly into to visit the Skywalk?
The nearest airport is McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, about a two-hour drive from the Skywalk.
Where is the closest place to stay?
The Skywalk is about two hours from Las Vegas and is an easy day trip. If you’d prefer to stay near Grand Canyon West Rim, lodging is available at the Hualapai Ranch conveniently located within the Grand Canyon West park (minutes away from the Skywalk). You may also stay in Peach Springs, Arizona on the Hualapai Reservation at mile post 101 off Historic Route 66. Is the Skywalk near the South Rim?
The Skywalk is located at Grand Canyon West Rim, on the Hualapai Nation. We are not affiliated with the National Park system. The Skywalk is about a four-hour drive from the South Rim Visitors Center.
